Masterserver server monitoring
Masterserver is a server that communicates to the client a list of game servers.
How to install masterserver?
First method:
1. Download the archive: ms.zip (1 KB)
2. Copy MasterServers.vdf* to the C:\Games\Counter-Strike\platform\config\ for Counter-Strike 1.6.
If you want to Counter-Strike: Source v34, then copy C:\Games\Counter-Strike Source\platform\config\
* Note: If the file masterserver2.vdf, rev_MasterServers.vdf is in the same directory, it should also be replaced.
3. Modify the properties of file MasterServers.vdf 'read only**'
** Properties are changed in the following way: click the right mouse button by placing the mouse pointer over the file MasterServers.vdf, to display the menu, 'Properties' mark 'read only'.
Second method:
You can also just go into a text editor and modify the file MasterServers.vdf and rev_MasterServers.vdf like this:
Remember, when you are editing directly to tick 'read only', too.
